The house is a great size with plenty of sleeping space and a layout that works well for hosting both inside and out. The location is good — easy access to a lot of places, plus plenty of parking.
The house’s age and maintenance issues did show during our stay (broken items). We flagged them to the host, and he was very responsive, willing to have his maintenance team address everything quickly. We appreciated that and would stay at a property of this host again given the good communication.

Renters beware! This property is advertised as luxe but it misses the mark in almost every category. Beyond our check-in to a filthy property and the hours long inconvenience of accommodating a cleaning crew, we had swarms of fruit flies living in the kitchen area. Our crew of 7 made the best eating with three forks provided and pots/pans that looked like they’d been salvaged from the garbage bin. Outdoor seating was impossible with two very large wasps nests and filthy or broken outdoor furniture. Outdoor tv remote inoperable, swimming pool very poorly represented in online photos. Primary bedroom had exterior door that would not fully close or lock. When asked for reimbursement or compensation for hours long cleaning inconvenience, I was told to wait until the crew was done. For a single mom looking forward to a getaway with her kids and parents, I was extremely disappointed. Pictures were deceiving and inaccurate…this host, having multiple AirBnB properties should know better.

Over all I was fine with this stay. But I suggest to wash and clean very well the beds. Some of the beds sheets looked like they were just stretched out without even washing and had hair on them. Also please check shower on master bathroom. It takes a while for the water to drain. Now the POOL. Nothing alike to the picture you showed. And the pool furniture some chairs were broken and not well care for. Also chairs in dining room 2 chairs are loose. Anyone could fall and have an accident. There was trash in the front entrance. We were happy to see the family from across the country so to me the house was comfortable but needs much cleaning.

The location and layout of the home are nice, but were disappointed. The patio furniture and pool was noticeably dirty upon arrival and there was an unusual odor inside the property. Otherwise, the host was responsive and the home was spacious.

We enjoyed our stay, super easy check in and check out. Everything inside was clean and well prepared. Everyone had a bed and plenty of space. Our only complaint is the outside wasn’t well kept, all the outside furniture was dirty and we wiped it down ourselves. The pool was the same, we cleaned it out ourselves. Wish the pool was bigger, as pictures were kind’ve misleading. Although those are minor details, it was an overall great place to stay and a very responsive and kind host. Would recommend Carter and this property for any big group visiting Austin.
