You’ll have the use of a suite of full-size stainless-steel appliances, including a refrigerator/freezer with an in-door ice dispenser, a range incorporating a cooktop and oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, toaster, hand mixer, baking sheets, muffin tin, tupperware, and wine glasses. A wall-mounted pot rack is home to a large collection of cookware, leaving you even more open cabinet space for groceries, etc. While you work, you’ll appreciate the daylight flooding through the large window that overlooks the backyard.
Living Space
Step through your front door and find yourself in an airy, open concept living space with unobstructed views between the sitting area, dining area and kitchen. You’ll find the décor light, contemporary and comfortable, with just a hint of a “mountain chalet” feel from the cognac-colored wood ceiling beams and the snow shoes hung above the hearth above the electric fireplace.
The entryway was made for real life, but attractively so, with coat pegs, a shoe rack, and a console table with a memo board hanging above. Hey, gang, let’s keep everything neat and organized!
The sitting area offers an inviting sofa beneath a big picture window plus a coffee table, perfect for a quiet chat or a cat nap.
The dining area is a bright, cozy space with a window overlooking the backyard, and a French door leading onto the backyard patio. A rustic yet elegant dining table made from a chunky natural wood slab is surrounded by vintage-style seating for at least 6. An old-fashioned white dish cabinet lends additional charm to the space.
Bedrooms
The bedrooms in this home have all been decorated in a simple, casual-contemporary style to make anyone feel at home.
On the main floor, the primary bedroom – a large private suite -- welcomes you with a Caribbean blue feature wall behind the California King-size bed that’s sure to lift your mood. Drift comfortably from your bed and into the adjoining bath, with its well-lit sink vanity with a granite countertop and storage below, plus a large shower behind glass doors.
If you have a considerable wardrobe, this place is for you! A large walk-in closet is completely tricked-out in shelving and hanging rails, PLUS, there’s an additional space for clothing storage just outside the closet entrance, with even more shelves and rails. Stay organized and enjoy mornings that run like a well-oiled machine!
Two additional bedrooms on the lower level in the basement each provide a queen-size bed, Roku TV, and a desk and chair providing additional private work spaces.
Two additional full bathrooms - one on the main floor and one in the basement mean less waiting in the morning when everyone has somewhere to go at the same time. Both include a combination tub/shower.
A lower-level laundry room adds the convenience of a full-size washer and dryer, plus a nice long countertop with a built-in sink, storage below, and a place above for hanging garments.
Basement Den
We’ve saved the best part for last! The lower level of this home is fun central – a space where all ages can unwind. One large room has been divided into two separate living areas. On one side, you’ll find an inviting turquoise expanding sofa for an extra napping area with a built-in chaise within a large open space that’s perfect for kids to play. There’s lots of shelving here for stowing toys, games and books.
On the other side of the room, a deliciously inviting L-shaped sofa sits opposite a large Roku TV with a surround sound system, and a top-lifting coffee table (for additional workspace area). Here’s where movie nights happen! In the corner, a mini kitchenette provides a full-size refrigerator/freezer and a small countertop with a sink. No need to go upstairs for your evening snacks, ice cream, and beverages. If you’d prefer to make this your wine bar, there’s also a wine refrigerator and a fully stocked wine glass holder mounted on the wall.
Outdoor Living
Stepping outside onto the patio, you’ll find a wonderful furnished area with a fire pit and a propane grill, plus a free-standing umbrella for optional shade. (There is also a covered portion of the patio.) Enjoy perfectly charred burgers in the fresh Rocky Mountain air, or gather around the fire pit on a cool evening with cozy blankets and mugs of cocoa. There’s also a grassy area for play, and an idyllic corner given over to a hammock. Bring a book or your daydreams. The yard is fully fenced.
Before heading back inside, you’ll notice a door that leads into the garage, where a work-out area has been set up with a variety of exercise equipment, including free weights. There’s also a workbench that may be useful to hobbyists.

Parking
Guests can park up to 3-4 cars in the driveway. Please note that the clearance between the driveway and street maybe slightly high for low clearance cars. But there is room for street parking directly in front of the house for up to 2 cars. Please do not block the neighbors' areas.

We cannot guarantee an early check-in than 4pm as we need time to make sure this property is perfect for you before your stay! Please message us on the day of your arrival to see if the property is ready no earlier than 2pm.
Check-in Process: All guests will need to complete our secure, online ID Verification process to receive the door code and check-in instructions. Similar to hotels requiring photo ID upon check-in, we ask that guests provide a copy of their Government Issued ID, matching selfie and credit card to verify identity. Your home is in the neighborhood known as Broadmoor, an affluent area on the south end of the city. Here, you’ll enjoy rolling past century-old mansions (and plenty of newer ones, too) just for the eye candy, most of which are clustered around the world-famous Broadmoor Resort.
The home is a mere 6 minutes from the junction of highways 115 and 25, which will carry you swiftly in four directions.
In the immediate neighborhood, you’ll find everything you need for convenient day-to-day living, including a Safeway supermarket, Walgreen’s, Home Depot, and other shopping, plus plenty of dining options, including one-of-a-kind eateries and familiar national chains.

House Rules Required
AGE REQUIREMENT: Must be at least 21 years old. We cannot accommodate guests who do not meet this age requirement unless prior approval has been granted by us before check-in.

There is NO access to the neighborhood community pool.

Dog Policy
Up to 3 dogs are welcome for an additional fee ($150/month for one dog, $200/month for 2 dogs. No more than $400 per stay). Additional fees can incur if professional carpet cleaning is required or excessive dog hair is on the beds or furniture. No pets other than dogs allowed. Please pickup after your pets as we are currently reviving our grass. Thank you!
Type of Cooling for the Home
Central AC units are best kept at 68 degrees or above. Due to the lack of humidity in the area if the thermostat is lowered below 68 degrees it is possible that it can freeze the unit if it is working too hard. Unfortunately, it will take 24 hours for the unit to defrost before an HVAC specialist can service it. Our evenings are generally cool in the summertime, simply opening the windows will provide extra natural coolness.

Amenities
What a great place to stay! Had a great view place was well kept. Friendly neighbors. The hosts were super responsive when needed and were helpful and making sure our stay was comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the floors are pretty squeaky, but that’s to be expected in an older home and with wood floors other than that everything was great.

Reading prior reviews, our expectations were low for the property; however, the stay exceeded our expectations.
The wifi worked well enough for two of us to work remotely from the Airbnb. Over the 5 month stay, wifi never went out, and was sufficently fast to allow both of us to conduct viedo conference calls.
The house was clean and adequately stocked. The kitchen had more than enough good pots and pans that the majority of our meals were cooked.
Prior reviews talked about a smell in the house, we did not notice any foul odor. The lower level (basement), did have a bit of a musty smell, but typical for a basement; and did not affect our stay.
The house is older, thus the floors are very creaky, this was the only downside for us.
The house felt like a home, and was in a quite neighborhood. Really liked the location, and would book it again. J

Good house, poor management
We rented the house for a month while moving into the southern Colorado area. The house itself is fine (fairly clean, maintained, beds for many). The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils... everything you could need. Beds are comfortable with clean sheets. Backyard is nice and quiet.
The Google home is connected to so many things and many features fail if it's not always on. So, we did feel like we were perpetually being watched.
Management was nonresponsive on questions during the stay. We couldn't open the gym area and sent three messages - no response. We thought we left a laptop in the office and requested to pick it up - no response. A neighbor complained about the persistent trashcan out front when it isn't rented, and we relayed to management - no response. M

Great house for us!
Communication with this property management was excellent! They responded promptly and were genuinely concerned with making sure we had a great stay.
The backyard is a wonderful place for our dogs to run and be entertained by wildlife in the five large trees. The patio lights and string lights in the trees gave it nice ambiance, and we stayed out there most of the time. There is even a view of some mountain tops.
The layout of the house has the perfect set up for either two families, one upstairs and one downstairs or parents upstairs and kids downstairs.
The office has the perfect setup with a monitor and printer when we had to work.
The location is great, close to Old Colorado City for shops and restaurants, easy drive and access to Hwy 24 to get to Manitou Springs and the numerous sites and activities in the mountains.
The neighborhood is nice, quiet and we felt very safe there. We took long walks every morning and there are even a few trails through the open areas with great views!
We were there over three weeks and felt right at home and would definitely stay there again!
