Type of Cooling for the Home
Central AC units are best kept at 68 degrees or above. Due to the lack of humidity in the area, if the thermostat is lowered below 68 degrees, it is possible that it can freeze the unit if it is working too hard. Unfortunately, it will take 24 hours for the unit to defrost before an HVAC specialist can service it. Our evenings are generally cool in the summertime, simply opening the windows will provide extra natural coolness.

House very comfortable for a family of 6 and very accessible to sites. House clean and has everything you need. Thank you for a great stay. We really enjoyed our stay at Philip's. So much so that we wished we were staying longer. We had so many sights to see that we should have just stopped and enjoyed the home more. Favorite feature was the dining / living area, but we wished we could have enjoyed the deck even more. It was wonderful, clean, cool, and just a great place to sit and enjoy each other. We found it convenient for access to our adventures, shopping and sight seeing. Thanks, Philip, we'll check your availability for our next trip to Colorado Springs. This was the perfect home for a weekend getaway with our young puppy. The outdoor area was private and peaceful with it being on a corner lot with foliage protecting us from noise and visual distraction. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal preparation, but not a bunch of things we didn’t need (as can be seen when rentals allow left items to accumulate). The entire house was beautifully furnished and decorated with mid-century-modern-inspired pieces and artwork. Instead of feeling like we were staying at someone else’s house for the weekend, it felt like we were coming home for a visit to our own slice of Colorado Springs. You will not regret booking this home, and I bet all of Philip’s places are great since that is the standard he sets. Thank you for a great weekend! We will be back.
