The house was beautiful and felt new.  There are three floors which allowed for my family of 5 to spread out.  The views were spectacular.  We especially loved the sunrises and the summer afternoon rains.  The proximity to Cripple Creek was a big selling point for us.  Overall, I highly recommend this cabin.

Pros: 1.  Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood. 2.  Very nice big yard for kids and pets to play.3.  Nice kitchen with almost everything needed to cook a meal.4. Enough space to park a vehicle in the driveway. 5. The kids liked playing ping-pong in the playroom.6. We were able to program the Air Conditioner to our liking after trial and error. It was really cold when we arrived. 7. We liked the  open concept of having the living room, dining area, and kitchen in one big room.8. We enjoyed watching a movie on the living room big screen TV. 9. We had breakfast underneath the covered patio and it saved us and our pet from getting wet during a storm.10. Location, location, location. All the attractions we went to were 10 to 15 minutes away and there is a Walmart five minutes away from the house. Cons:1. We were not able to use the stove and oven at the same time. You can only use them one at a time or they would trip the circuit breaker.2. In order to spend time outside sitting on the table under the covered patio, we had to get rid of some spiderwebs and kill one or two spiders. There were also spiderwebs right above the front entrance of the house. There’s a bush near the outside table that has a lot of spiders.3. In the master bedroom, the top of the tank of the toilet was cracked and was held on by tape.4. The AC air return needs to be dusted and it may need a new filter. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. We really enjoyed our stay.

I recently stayed at the Airbnb called "Colorful Colorado," and overall, it was a decent experience. The host was incredibly friendly and proactive in communication, which made me feel welcome. However, the neighborhood wasn't ideal. There were quite a few stray cats around, and some loud, sketchy neighbors made it hard to relax at times. While the accommodation itself was nice, I wish the surrounding area had been a bit more pleasant.

Great location and beautifully appointed home.

We had an extended family gathering here in the Springs to spend time with aging in-laws. The house was amazing and had everything you could think of available. The kitchen was loaded with more plates/bowls/glassware/silverware as well as cooking bowls and was top notch! The Blackstone grill and backyard, added to the amazing evenings hanging out back once weather cooled down. We had a great time!

Such a beautiful and unique place to visit and unwind! The deck was the perfect spot for meals for our large family and the views didn’t disappoint! We were grateful for the games available for us to use. We had some great conversations using the questions game!

The treehouse is adorable, and the surrounding area is just so beautiful, you feel like you’re in a painting. The only downside was some loud music on one if the days, but the rest was pretty amazing. Also loved seeing the horses right next to us. Philip is also extremely helpful, kind, and communicative.

We were misplaced via bad ordeal with prior reservations with a different host/property. We had to book last minute after driving in 12 hours. 5 STAR host! Responsive and instantly accepted our request for booking. House was spotless and very comfy! Wish would could have extended. Can’t thank you enough!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Buckskin Hideaway. We were a total of 10 people and fit very comfortably. Enough space to gather both indoors and on the lovely back deck, as well as plenty of alternative get-away areas to split into smaller groups. The coffee/tea bar was a welcome treat. Our family had a wonderful stay.  We had 6 adults and 3 teens,  and we were very comfortable.  We especially enjoyed all the seating on the back patio with a beautiful view of the mountain.  All the furnishings and appliances were modern.  The house was very clean and felt like a true vacation home.   The neighborhood was extremely quiet.   We loved the location- close to several attractions and restaurants.  I especially enjoyed the restaurants in Old Colorado City only a few minutes away. We had a small problem with the trash from previous tenants,  but a message to the hosts had the problem fixed shortly.  Our only recommendation would be to provide a few more hand towels.   Overall we had a perfect stay and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable,  quiet location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Philip’s place! Check-in was smooth, & the home had everything we were looking for - reliable WiFi, TV, central A/C, a very comfortable king-size bed, a full kitchen, laundry room, & private driveway. The entire house offered great privacy & was the perfect size for two. The location is just a couple of blocks off the main road in Manitou Springs - close enough to walk to the shops & restaurants, though be prepared for a bit of a hill on the way back. It’s also ideally situated for visiting Garden of the Gods & Pike’s Peak, & only 25 mins from COS Airport. If you’re looking for a comfortable, private home away from home, this place is a great choice. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place, absolutely loved it. The place itself was beautiful, clean and well maintained. The area is quiet and secluded. It was so fantastic to have our coffee on the front porch and watch the horses go by. We will book this one again next time we are in the area.

Very nice place! The highway noise mentioned in another review was not an issue. We appreciated the air conditioning that was available. Travelers with a non-standard schedule (such as those getting up extremely early to hike Barr trail) should be aware that every step can be heard/felt from the neighbors in the larger unit upstairs. Plan accordingly with ear plugs if you intend to sleep early/late. The host was communicative and responsive, and we appreciated the easy check in/out. We would stay here again.

House was perfect for our multi-generational family. Grandparents stayed in main level bedroom just off the kitchen with king size bed and bathroom in the hall. There are 3 additional separate sleeping areas; one downstairs, and 2 upstairs using separate staircases. It was great that each family had their own separate sleeping area and own bathroom. It helped with noise and young children that went to bed earlier than others. Kids loved the game room and roaming out in the forest. We had elk come by every day. Pictures represented the house well.

This is such a great house in a charming location. It comfortably fit our large family group and had a fun game room and great vintage details. We did have trouble getting in- the code we were provided didn’t work. The biggest issue we had was that there was no dish soap, no trash bags, limited trash cans, no dust pan for sweeping, and only half a roll of toilet paper available. When we notified the host they were quick to respond and put in an order but unfortunately it never arrived so we had to make do. While the home was free of clutter and decently clean, we were slightly disappointed with the cleanliness given a few spiderwebs and the lack of toilet paper, soap, and trash bags and dust pan- small inconveniences , but it made it hard to justify what was a very high cleaning fee. We loved our stay despite these things and were grateful to have responsive hosts and a fun property in such a fun location! Overallx we would still recommend.

This beautiful home is so much more amazing than the description tells it to be. The photos didn’t do it justice! The home has 80’s nostalgia instilled into every nook and cranny. Each room was carefully planned with its coordinating 80’s room title such as the tape room filled with cassettes and cassette players, the game room with NES and a foosball table, the computer room with the old iMacs and floppy discs and of course the no quarter needed pac man arcade game in the living room. The owners also did an amazing job in honoring the previous owners and the history of the home. Make sure to read the plaque in the hallway and pay attention to all of the beautiful butterflies incorporated into the house. From the outside you can’t tell that there is 8 bedrooms but this cabin is actually three levels! Each section of rooms has a bathroom so there is plenty of space. The kitchen is nicely updated. There was certainly no lack of space. We can’t wait to bring our family here again!
