Welcome to our cozy single-level one-bedroom house! The bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, bedside lamps, and a spacious closet for your convenience. In the fully equipped kitchen, you'll find all the cookware essentials you need to whip up delicious meals. Relax in the spacious living room, complete with ample seating on the couch and a 50" Smart TV for entertainment. The full bathroom comes stocked with towels, soaps, and even pool towels for your use. For added convenience, we provide an in-unit washer and dryer. The space is laptop-friendly, perfect for remote work or browsing. Plus, we're dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friend along for the adventure!
Guests are granted complete access to the entire residence. For your convenience, a self-check-in system is in place, facilitated by a smart lock that utilizes an exclusive code designated solely for your use.
We cannot guarantee an early check-in before 4pm as we need time to make sure this property is perfect for you before your stay! Please message us on the day of your arrival to see if the property is ready no earlier than 2pm.
Check-in Process: All guests will need to complete our secure, online ID Verification process to receive the door code and check-in instructions. Similar to hotels requiring photo ID upon check-in, we ask that guests provide a copy of their Government Issued ID, matching selfie and credit card to verify identity. We recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in the Pikes Peak Region. We're happy to provide bus schedules and maps too if you'd like to use public transportation.

This house is dog friendly, Please be respectful of those who will stay after you by cleaning up all pet waste and disposing of it in the large trash bins. Thank you in advance!
* Dogs are welcome for an additional fee ($75 per dog). 3 dogs max. All dogs must be approved before check in. No other animals are permitted unless they are service animals. There are no charges for service animals.

Type of Cooling for the Home
Although the home doesn't have central AC our evenings in this region are generally cool in the summer time, simply opening the windows will provide natural coolness.

-Please review the sleeping arrangements prior to booking.
-Please keep all trash secure in the bins. Do not leave any trash out overnight for your safety and the surrounding active wildlife in the city's area.
-We do not have onsite maintenance or cleaning unlike hotels but all requests will be taken care of ASAP.

Amenities
This house left us with mixed feelings. It's location is really good - close to Garden of Gods, Red Rock Canyon Open Space, short drive to Manitou Cliff dwellings, Cave of the Winds.
There are good appliances, kitchenware. Host is responsive.
The main downside is the heating - it's not evenly spread. There are no heating floor registers in the kitchen and only one in the big laundry room. There are no doors between the cold part of the house and the heated part. If the thermostat is set to the level that it is comfortable in bedrooms, then the kitchen is cold. On top of that heating system for both units is common. Since the other unit is partially on the top floor, it is warmer. We were asked to lower the temperature to be considerate to them.
While this is not a problem in warmer weather, it is an issue at the end of December.
Another note - the house is not as light as in the pictures. These might be taken in sunny summer days. In December the house is darker. We enjoyed our stay and the description was accurate. Description of the place as a duplex with separate unit was not included and therefore accessing our unit at the rear of the property was not clear in the instructions as to where the lock was located. Once I communicated this, Philip was responsive and open to editing his instructions for his next guest. Overall, it is a decent well maintained unit. Jessica

The listing is somewhat misleading as i thought this was a sinlge home. This listing is for unit 17 A 34th street. It is attached to another rental. You will need to park on Kiowa street above the unit and enter through the side gate. The coded door to access the house is on the back door. We werent informed that this was unit A, where to park, where to access the unit etc and had to call for help to access the apt and also told to move our vehicle when the renters next door showed up. You can hear the neighboors next door, who have a staircase and second floor in their unit. There is also a window in the living room of unit A that is part of Unit B's front porch. I would have prefered to know this all ahead of time. Aside from that it was a nice stay. Comfy beds, clean sheets, nice kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. Its a very peaceful neighboorhood with excellent access to the west side, manitou, hwy 24 and i 25. Liese And Gebi

We had a great stay at Philip's place! The house was clean and well furnished with everything we needed. Good location to all the sites in the area! We'd be happy to stay at this property again.
